If you’re looking to save some money on a powerful gaming laptop, you’re in luck, as we’ve unearthed a pretty sweet today. HP’s selling the Victus for just $899.99, which is a massive savings of $400. This machine comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU as well as a high refresh rate display (144Hz to be exact!). It also has good connectivity options and a keyboard that includes a number pad. What more could you ask for?
Let’s get take a peek under the hood, shall we? The HP Victus is rocking an Intel Core i5-13500HX CPU, the aforementioned Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. You should be able to breeze through most games on the Medium or High graphics setting. However, for more demanding titles, I’d recommend scaling the graphics back a notch or two. The 16.1-inch display has a resolution of 1920×1080 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The maximum brightness is only 250 nits, which isn’t super impressive but it’s not a huge deal-breaker.
This is a really solid machine, and getting a gaming laptop for under a grand is always a smoking deal. Get it now before it’s gone.
