While the term “gaming laptop” isn’t necessarily synonymous with “massive brick” anymore, it’s true that there’s still a tendency for anything packing a discrete graphics card to be thicker and heavier than most other options. MSI’s Stealth series bucks that trend, combining pixel-pushing power with sleek lines and relatively thin builds. The MSI Stealth 14, packing a Core i7 processor and an RTX 4060 GPU, is an impressive $500 off at Best Buy today. That brings the price down to just under a thousand bucks.
Inside the Stealth 14 you get the above-mentioned 13th-gen Core i7 processor and impressive 8GB, 90-watt Nvidia graphics card, plus 16GB of speedy DDR5 memory, a generous 1TB NVMe Gen 4 flash storage drive, and a 1920×1200 fast IPS screen that can handle games at up to 165Hz. Other charms include an anti-ghosting keyboard with per-key RGB lighting, dual USB-C ports (one of which can handle Thunderbolt), and full-sized USB-A and HDMI ports, so you can leave the dongles at home.
The 14-inch laptop slides in just at just 19mm thin, just a hair under .75 inches, and weighs just 3.75 pounds. In order to get so sleek it has to make one crucial sacrifice: the battery. While 72 watt-hours should power through most workdays without issue, it’s a fair bit less than most gaming laptops, and if you’re getting deep in a Fortnite or Baldur’s Gate groove you’ll definitely want to plug in. Best Buy isn’t saying how long this deal will last, so if you’re interested, get an order in today.
