People often say that furniture serves as the backbone of a home. One’s furniture defines their lifestyle and personal preferences. That’s why I always love to browse catalogues, magazines, stores, and even my friends’ homes for fresh ideas on revamping my own home. While spending on furniture can be a big shock to the pocket, my take away is that the quality pieces should last you a long time and never go out of style.
I personally prefer modern Nordic-style furniture with minimalistic design. For example, my dining room is adorned with a full set of boxy chairs and a rectangular dining table with tapered legs. I get a lot of creative ideas for these pieces when I browse through flea markets or look at furniture catalogues. I’m also big on handmade pieces, as they inject an instant feeling of hominess to the space.
Overall, I’m a big believer of creating living and bedroom spaces with an aesthetically pleasing look and cozy ambience. With the right furniture, these spaces can be transformed into wonders.
