Black Friday is here and we’ve found a jaw-dropper of a deal. B&H Photo Video is selling the MSI Thin GF63 gaming laptop for just $599, which is a savings of $300 and a frankly ludicrous price for a gaming laptop equipped with a modern Nvidia RTX graphics card. We consider $800 a deal for an entry-level gaming laptop, with $700 a killer deal. But $599? Like I said: Ludicrous.
MSI’s laptop includes Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4050. It also weighs just over four pounds, which is considerably lightweight for a gaming laptop. It also has a nice port selection as well as high refresh rate display.
The MSI Thin GF63 features an Intel Core i5-12450H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. Given the processor and graphics card, you should be able to play most games on the Medium or High graphics preset, or even higher if your chosen game supports Nvidia’s vaunted DLSS technology. For more intense titles, we’d recommend scaling the graphics back a bit. You’ll want to avoid ray tracing on this entry-level gaming laptop as it can tank your frame rates.
The 15.6-inch display has a resolution of 1920×1080, an aspect ratio of 16:9, and a refresh rate of 144Hz. For connectivity options, you’re getting one USB-C 3.0, two USB-A 3.0, and one HDMI output.
This is a phenomenal — dare I say ludicrous one more time? — deal. But with Black Friday here, stock may run out as more eyes land on this deal. Get it now before it’s gone.
